Did you guys know there's a petition going around to get Square to get Geno in Smash? You all should sign it if you're into that sort of thing. www.change.org/petitions/squar…
It will work as much as the one that tried to get Megaman Legends 3 back into developpment.
Which means: not at all.
*sigh* Oh, well. Let's give it a try, at least. If only we still had the hype from back before Brawl was released (at this time, Geno was the 2nd most requested character).
I have an habit of being late to the last trend (I discovered Mass Effect after the 3rd game came out) and while I'm new to Geno's fanbase, I heard him fanbase was getting smaller since this year's begining. I'm really hpoing he will appear in Smash Bros. 4, but most peoples seems to have moved on to other things.
Does Geno still have a real fanbase? Or is he arlready doomed to be forgotten?

For people who played Mario RPG, Geno will always be remembered. I think many people have given up on him re-appearing in future games though, and I honestly think that's a good thing. Geno's story all happened in Mario RPG, and any other game featuring him would only be fanservice/easy sales to nostalgia, and would probably overall hinder his significance as a guardian from the heavens if he could just show up for any old reason. In a way, I kind of admire that Square hasn't brought him back as it keeps the emotional impact of the ending in-tact by having him never return. Sometimes fans just have to acknowledge when a character's story is over, and move on.
